The Webmaster

The Webmaster of BrassLink, Steef Klepke Jr, has been associated with brass bands since the age of seven. A third-generation Salvationist, he attends the Rotterdam East Corps in the Netherlands where he plays in the Rotterdam East Band as principal cornet. For many years, he attended the Vlaardingen Corps, where he joined the youth band in 1976 and the corps band in 1983, serving as principal cornet for nearly two decades. He is a long-time member of the Amsterdam Staff Band of the Salvation Army, with over 25 years of service, including 10 years as principal cornet. He has played with the German Staff Band and Canadian Staff Band and was one of the soloists during ISB120.

Steef has written two books about brass band music, of which the second one 'The Golden Pen - Brass composers and arrangers of the Salvation Army' got world wide acclaim. He is currently working on a third one, which will be a second volume of 'The Golden Pen'. He also runs a weekly brass band radio broadcasting since 2006, featuring mainly the bands of the Salvation Army.

He is married (1993), has two daughters (1996 & 1999) and works as a Sensory Scientist for Unilever Research & Development since 1987.
